AORA - Frida Main

4 colors we love explained by Frida Kahlo

Take a look Inside Frida’s diaries!

AORA - Frida 1

To celebrate the Mexican poetry of color, we bring you fragments of Frida Kahlo's most intimate work: her diaries.

Inspired by colored pencils at her desk, she wrote in her notebook about emotions and symbolism. In her diaries, Frida explained the meaning of colors she used in her works:

“I’ll try out the pencils

sharpened to the point of infinity

which always sees ahead”

AORA - Frida 2

Frida’s palette is an example of how the Mexican poetry of color comes from a deep meditation on culture and nature.
